Compliance audits
A simple breach of a licence may result in penalty of up to $11,000, plus an increase your annual risk-based licence renewal fees.
Be proactive, with periodic assurance audits to ensure your business is operating in compliance with its liquor licensing obligations.
Our consultants provide independent audit services covering:
-
signage requirements
-
primary purpose and authorisation compliance
-
training and RSA competency requirements
-
operational compliance (licensee supervision, licensed boundaries)
-
liquor promotion and advertising
-
checks on declared undesirable liquor products
-
incident register compliance
-
special precinct conditions
-
specific liquor licence conditions
-
plan of management conditions
-
general compliance with the Liquor Act 2007 and Liquor Regulation 2018
All audits include comprehensive compliance reports which may be used to demonstrate proof of compliance to regulatory authorities or as part of your business risk program.

CCTV
audits
The requirement to maintain a comprehensive and functional CCTV system is a condition of many liquor licences.
These conditions often require CCTV coverage of 'all publicly accessible areas' within the premises, which can be challenging to ensure with large venues.
Our consultants provide an independent assessment of your venue's CCTV capability. We provide comprehensive audit reports which may be used as proof of compliance or to guide remediation activity.
It is highly recommended that a CCTV audit be conducted if installing a new system or where there has been a reconfiguration of the venue layout or location of cameras.

Covert audits
Have visibility of the true level of compliance of a liquor licence, with unguarded and unannounced audits.

Consider covert audits as part of your pre-purchase due diligence on a venue or liquor licence. In addition to conducting an on-site compliance assessment, our consultants can also engage with local police and regulators to help you understand any underlying compliance risks.

Covert audits may also be used as part of the compliance program of large corporate entities or franchises who wish to monitor on-site compliance of dispersed premises.
